Material & washing instructions

What exactly is muslin?

Muslin is a cotton fabric that is widely used and very popular in the textile industry. I only use muslin made from 100% cotton , which has been awarded the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (product class 1) certificate , which means that the fabric used here is even suitable for babies and those with sensitive skin.

The material is so popular because it has many positive properties . Its special structure makes it very light and breathable, but at the same time very soft and pleasant on the skin.

In addition, the fabric is given a special crinkle look during processing, which not only looks chic, but also gives the fabric a subtle elasticity.

Washing instructions

I recommend washing muslin in the washing machine at 30 degrees (spin cycle possible). A conventional detergent can be used, or of course a colored detergent for colored items.

However, the fabric should not be put in the dryer as it could shrink there. Therefore, it is better to let it dry on the clothesline.

After washing, the crinkle look usually increases a little and the cloth becomes even fluffier. However, if the wrinkled look is too strong for you, you can of course also iron the muslin .
